Outline of the program
Far south in the deep sea, Izu Peninsular was formed as submarine volcanoes, and gradually moved northward until it collided with Japanese Mainland. We learn about the interesting stories about Izu Peninsular Geo Park, registered as UNESCO Global Geopark, through lectures, experiments and playing. The activity covers from the courses for the whole school to the family program, on your requests. ■ 1, The courses for schools. (lectures) About Geo sites in Shimoda, the history of the town and environments. Experiments of volcano. Field works. Guide tours to Geo sites. Sea shore exploration. Etc. ■ 2. The programs for the family, which varies according to the requests of each family. (Observe the strata of Ebis island and explore the sea shore. Sand skiing and walking around Ryugukutsu Sea Cave. Etc.) Children 10 years old and over can participate with no accompanying adults.Program schedule
