After graduating from Inatori High School, I went to California for surf training.　Coming back to Japan, I got the license for professional surfer of JPSA (Japan Pro Surfing Federation,) at the age of 19. My results are ranking 8th and once champion. In the spring of 2012, I opened surfshop ”irie surf” (now, IRIE COFFEE& SEA) in front of my favorite beach Shirahama (facing Shirahama Shrine). Please visit us in the cafe in irie !! 　The surf lessons for beginners are available.　Why don't you experience the fun of the sea or the feeling of getting on the waves?

We have various rules and manners for surfing. I will be of your help. Please come and visit IRIE COFFEE & SEA for comfortable and enjoyable surfing.　 <2H Lesson 8,000 yen> includes rental board, wetsuit, warm shower.) At IRIE, you can enjoy cold coffee with pancakes or spicy chicken curry. We are located only 1 min. walk to Shirahama Beach.

I cannot distinguish which is the best among 9 Shimoda beaches, because every beach has its own goodness. I think Shirahama Beach is most suitable for experiencing the first surfing. In my view, Tatado Beach is where good waves constantly break up.
