Outline of the program

Shimoda city followed the Residence of Sawamura Family, the proprietor of Shimoda Dock Company, and after repairment and renovation, opened afresh for the visitors to watch and feel the history of Shimoda and get relaxed.
The store house gallery, tatami rooms -1,2, living room, display room and adjacent outside square are for rent. From personal exhibition, information display, to workshop of Japanese culture & tradition for foreigners, etc., it has provided opportunities to various activities
